Bio
Antoine Doyen was born in 1982 in Nancy, France.
As he was getting bored in University in 2005, he dropped out of Sociology so he could fly to West Africa and see what kind of movies where shot and watched there. What should have been a scientific study became a series of images that brought him to photography as a job; he never showed up in class ever again. Back in France, the newspaper "Metro" sent him on assignment to the Cannes Film Festival: that's how he gets into portrait, by chance. He then enrolls in a photojournalism class at the EMI-CFD (Paris).
He works on assignment for a variety of news outlets (Le Monde, L'Express, Le Parisien Magazine, Les Echos, Studio Cine Live, The Wall Street Journal…) and communication agencies.
First a portrait photographer, he also ventures in the long-format realm, currently documenting tractor pulling competitions… and the life of catholic priests. In any case, the subject that matters is commitment & passion.
